Need

We partnered with a well respected higher education institution to provide coaching and consulting for an internal network redesign and conversion. They had the internal project manager already on staff, we provided On-the-Job Coaching and tools to support managing the project towards a seamless conversion.

Actions

  • Provided customized tools, templates, and communication plans for use by the project manager on staff.
  • Created and implemented detailed project plan including deliverables, milestones, stakeholders, and project summary reporting.
  • Developed and implemented system migration plan including staff wide communication plans and identifying dependencies.
  • Supported weekly review meetings with extensive tracking of deliverables, decisions, and policies.
  • Coached the project manager on how to use tools, processes, and effectively communicate to all levels throughout the college.
  • Streamlined scope of project to allocate resources efficiently, effectively communicating the scope for this network conversion and identifying future projects.
